Was ist Ihre Motivation, sich aktiv am IPBES-Prozess zu beteiligen?
We are now faced with pressing environmental challenges.Tackling them requires knowledge but also political engagement. My motivation to participate in IPBES is to contribute to potential solutions for today's environmental challenges.

Was ist für Sie das Besondere am Weltbiodiversitätsrat IPBES?
IPBES is still a young platform and it is thrilling to see it evolving and being able to contribute to it. Moreover it is very open and integrative.

An welchem Schwerpunktthema arbeiten Sie mit, und was wäre ein wertvolles Resultat aus Ihrer Sicht?
I am involved in Chapter 1 of the IPBES Europe and Central Asia Regional Assessment. Our main goal is to set the scene for the Assessment. Among others issues, we aim to make clear the necessity of such assessment and identify the specificities of the ECA region.

Welche Erfahrungen haben Sie bereits mit "Wissenschafts-Politik-Schnittstellen" gemacht? Welche Chancen und Herausforderungen sehen Sie bei einer Mitarbeit an solchen Schnittstellen?
I have contributed as a Lead Author to the Global Biodiversity Outlook 4. Participating in such dialogues is a great learning experience and a great opportunity to make science matter the most.

Was ist Ihr persönlicher Wunsch für die Zukunft von IPBES?
I am positive that the work IPBES is developing is a great step forward in our understanding of the relationships between society and nature. I hope that IPBES can contribute to make this relationship more sustainable and that we can fully appreciate nature and its benefits.
